Regency housemaid Euphemia Reeves has acquired a faerie godfather... unfortunately, he has no idea what he's doing. Euphemia Reeves has most inconveniently fallen in love with Mr Benedict Ashbrooke. Housemaids do not marry gentlemen, of course... but a faerie named Lord Blackthorn is only too eager to help Effie win Mr Benedict's heart regardless. Effie knows what a terrible idea it is to accept help from one of the Fair Folkbut life as a maid at Hartfield is so awful that she is willing to risk even her immortal soul for a chance at something better. Now, Effie has one hundred days and ten thousand stitches to make Mr Benedict fall in love with her and propose... if Lord Blackthorn doesn't wreck things by accident, that is. For Effies greatest obstacle might well be Lord Blackthorns overwhelmingly good intentions. The long-awaited sequel to Half a Soul delights and amuses in equal measure. Pick up Ten Thousand Stitches, and dive into another enchanting faerie tale set in Olivia Atwater's charming, magical version of Regency England!

This is the second Regency Faerie Tale by Olivia Atwater. This tells the story of Effie, a maid for a rather unpleasant family. One day she falls into Faerie and meets Lord Blackthorn. They make a deal to help her find love and a better life. This was very cute but at times frustrating. This is a very fun original fairy tale story with slight Pygmalion vibes. ⬇️

Nessavamusic However it is not quite as successful as Half a Soul in terms of the romance, the development there is a little lacking. I would still recommend for those looking for a short cosy read. 3.5⭐️ 2y

A nice Cinderella-esque story. Great to see more of the world that started in Half a Soul. All the characters were great.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After loving “Half a Soul”, I immediately ordered “Ten Thousand Stitches” but sadly found that it did not live up to the previous book. It was a cute story and I enjoyed the characters, however I kind of wanted more from the romance and I missed the witty humor that was in “Half a Soul”.

Come for the himbo fairy godfather, stay for the maid who learns how precious anger at injustice is. Also one of the best answers to try love's kiss I have seen.
Really enjoyed this. For #RippedBodiceBingo can be used for mistaken identity, superpower, title has a number in it, and/or dance

Wow! So this just happened!😄 Took me 5 years to reach 5000, less than a year to reach 10k. I don't know even what it means, but I goal oriented so it makes me happy.😊

I am absolutely enchanted with this series so far! These are not bodice rippers, but stories of magic & love that couldn't be more perfect if they started out w/ "Once upon a time” & ended w/ "And they lived happily ever after.” In this story, a scullery maid named Effie enlists the aid of the faerie, Lord Blackthorn to win over a crush. As well-intentioned as Blackthorn is, he doesn't really think through the consequences of his actions, LOL.
