Reading the reviews, I started this thinking I would pan or bail. Reading the 1st half, I was pleasantly surprised! The characters were funny and I couldn‘t wait to keep going, but things took a turn in the 2nd half. The MC started getting annoying and the things she argued about were so childish and didn‘t make much sense. I had to push myself to get through the rest of the book, but gave it 3 stars because I genuinely liked it at the start.

Not the type of book I usually read but I‘m into Tracy Wolff right now so I gave it a shot. Cute story of a 35 year old woman trying to find herself again after a divorce. Circumstances have her moving back to the suburbs of NJ. There‘s family drama, legal drama and HOA drama.

Meh? I mean? It was ok. Not a cutesy rom-com but a fairly well developed one, with lots of relationships being worked out (or attempted), which is good! But I dno, maybe it was a bit too long? The main character wasn‘t great either, and I just honestly felt like it was wasting my time. So here we are. Could be bad timing for this one, but there are so many similar books out there that I prob won‘t come back to try again.

It was ok enough that I finished it.

Meh...it was okay. I think I would have liked it a whole lot better if Mallory were less annoying. I get that she"s been badly burned by her ex, but she's such a jerk to Nick that it's just exasperating. Also, it would have been nice to have Nick's point of view included in the story. I never like hearing the inner thoughts of just one of the main characters. The humor saves it from being a complete bust. That's a plus.

I downloaded this at the recommendation of another Litten and it did not disappoint. Such a fun, wonderfully written story. Not at all light on the plot. Great summer read.

This was a quick read. Love Tracy Wolff and this is no different. Fun characters and storyline. Perfect for a day at the beach or did a day of hiding from the heat inside.

This was a romance but also a very serious book about a woman going through a divorce and finding herself again. Inheriting her Aunt Maggie's house that needs a lot of work, realizing that her aunt had mental issues she wasn't aware of. I admit, this story had me feeling hard feelings because I saw myself in the MC in parts. I did tear up sometimes. But I also laughed out loud and really enjoyed this one!

I am only 62 pages into this one but already feel a deep connection to Mallory. And I am also just laughing at her throwing the wine bottle at her new neighbor.

Part romance, part journey of finding herself Back in the Burbs is a fast paced, emotional and fun read. Wished the ending wasn‘t quite so rushed.

I am thoroughly enjoying this. Mallory is getting a divorce, inherited and house in extreme distress and is trying to find herself and her strength. A guy just did a nice thing for her and I love that she didn‘t want to take his help because that‘s what she‘s always done, but also did accept this small offer of help for what it was and took it.
