This is a sweet, low heat romance. Jessie Kim moves back to Nashville after her life on Wall Street falls apart. She rekindles both feelings for and competition with her middle school rival, Daniel Choi, who is also temporarily back in Nashville. I really loved reading about Jessie starting a cooking brand with her Mom and would have happily read even more about their relationship and business.

panMan the light in this part of my apartment is TERRIBLE. I hope you enjoy awful pictures, friends. Not as awful as this book. This is marketed as a romance but the blurb on the back of the book of VERY misleading and very spoiler-y. I only finished because it's set in Nashville. Ugh I hated this so much.

pickI had previously read the author‘s other book, Loathe at First Sight, and liked but didn‘t love it. I knew I wanted to give her books another shot, so I jumped at the chance to read this one. This book was so much better!

pickThis book had a lot of typical elements of a rom-com, but it was just so enjoyable and satisfying. Park brings her unique perspective with our two Korean-American protagonists. Jessie‘s parents are absolutely brilliant additions to this book and make it that much better. If you are looking for something light and fun to read do not pass this one up.
pickThis had me constantly snorting and laughing out loud! Jess drove me slightly insane with her thought process and jumping to conclusions, but I could also totally relate. I'm gonna be honest, I finished this book a few hours ago and I'm still chuckling over it. So, if you're looking for a fun and easy read (that has Asian American protagonists), this is for you; I love seeing representation!
