In Pennsylvanias Amish country, Daisy Swanson is serving hot tea at a fundraiser for a homeless shelterbut tempers are getting heated too . . . Daisys orange pekoe is flowing at a fundraiserand shes also made a new friend, Piper, a young woman whose hopes for motherhood were dashed by a foul-up at a fertility clinic. But before they can settle into a long conversation, the event is disrupted by masked protestors who object to building a shelter in Willow Creek. Among the angry crowd is Eliwho left his Amish community some time ago, with help from a lawyer named Hiram. It just so happens that Hiram is also representing the fertility clinic in a class-action suitand soon afterward, he turns up dead, felled by an insulin injection. Daisy cant help but get drawn in, especially since Pipers husband had been pretty steamed at the victim and didnt hide it. Shed love to spend some time with the dog she and her boyfriend have just adoptedbut first she 'll be straining to find a killer . . . Includes delicious recipes!

Thanks @LiseWorks for the orange tea. I‘ve never had orange tea before. I loved the smell! The taste may come with subsequent drinkings, a little tart for me. Perhaps I should have added sugar…

LiseWorks Lol, no you just leave the tea bag in there and drink away. Maybe a little honey? Did you just get that now or were uou keeping it ? 2y
CrowCAH @LiseWorks no it came awhile ago. I savor my teas for when I go into the office and work. 2y

. . . a marvelous cozy mystery with interesting subplots too. The pace was quick and the characters drew me deeply into the story.

This was a great addition to the series! I really love how everyone has kind of found the right rhythm for their relationships and is acting like normal, not crazy adults. The mystery was intriguing and also a bit thought provoking, showing both sides as opposed to a very black & white/right or wrong view.
