pickThis was a soft pick. It‘s very easy to scare me, so this book left me feeling very unsettled. I enjoyed the haunted house and the details of the past residents of the Arrington state. I thought the addition of the podcast, and representation with a bi main character who also has type 1 diabetes was great. I didn‘t like the ending very much. The “resolution” didn‘t make sense to me, and I was upset with how Holly‘s story ended.
panI lost my interest too many times. It was so bogged down with boring filler I am lucky I finished the book. I wanted to know what happened. But even the ending was a disappointment, no explanation of events, no real investigation and then dopey Dare just shrugs and says that‘s all folks! Oh well. On to better reads.
