Today‘s #BookMail is the book I won from Better Read Bookstore on IG. The 2nd in the Nancy‘s series, it‘s a cosy crime about a girl who starts investigating the goings on in her small village after reading Nancy Drew & becoming enamored. I need to get the 1st book, The Nancys, before I can read this, I didn‘t realise it was an ongoing set when I entered but I‘m glad I came across it. She sounds like me at that age!

Won myself a copy of Nancy Business by R.W.R.McDonald from Better Read Bookstore on IG! It‘s an independent bookstore in Newtown in Inner City Sydney which I highly recommend to all, they have a great selection of books & host authors from time to time(mostly pre covid). This is the 2nd in the Nancy‘s series, it‘s a cosy crime about a young girl who wants to be a “Nancy Drew”, solving crimes in her small town. Sounds enchanting!
pickThe story is snappy, and the narration is as frank and literal as its main character, Tippy Chan. She has a certain naivete, which makes the darker aspects of her story more palatable, balanced with keen insights from the mouths of babes.
