⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was really good, but so dense with research that it was sometimes hard for me to fully follow her arguments. Lots of interesting (and horrifying) information. Definitely worth reading, but it requires a lot of the reader to keep up.

This book is incredibly fascinating but way too broad. I kept wanting her to dig deeper into fewer areas.
Covering colonialism from places as disparate Laos, Honduras, and Ireland as well as indigenous peoples in the Americas, Dunbar-Ortiz tries to paint an overarching picture of the history of American settler colonialism and its current situation. I felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount crammed into in this 12-hour #audiobook, but still a pick.
