More like an extended monologue than a novel, this work is gripping, hilarious and intriguing! All manner of characters and situations come of the 2008 financial crisis in Portugal! Quirky and at times touching this was a great LISTEN!!!! Definitely recommend this one for a car drive as an alternative to the radio!!!!

Finally got my little library cart! Been wanting one for ages!!

Reading this one for my Readings in Contemporary European Novels class at Pitt. The other 4 novels were familiar to me, but this one was chosen because the author is visiting campus next month. I like it so far! Author is from Lisbon; this is a translation.
