This covers the creation and history of the ocean, the animals and organisms living in it, the technology--high and low--that we humans have used to explore and learn about this still relatively unexplored place, the outsized and terrible impact we are having on its failing health and the climate as a whole, and finishes with atlases of the oceans. It‘s the holiday season & the time when I get to review some coffee table tomes from National Geographic for book tours. Ocean is a beaut. Stunning photos & interesting articles about the state of the ocean, its history, scientific facts, its inhabitants, the impact of global warming & climate change & the importance of conservation. Written by a premier expert on ocean science, called “Her Deepness” by the New York Times. Review link is ⬇️
