Apparently There Were Complaints: A Memoir | Sharon Gless
5 posts | 7 read | 1 to read
"APPARENTLY THERE WERE COMPLAINTS is both a deeply personal story about Gless's complicated family and her struggles with alcoholism and fear of romantic commitment and a juicy, hilarious tell-all about Hollywood and Sharon's encounters with some of the industry's biggest stars. Gless puts it all out on the page in the same way she has lived--never with moderation"--

What a page-turner! Sharon takes a sharp turn away from a typical memoir template and takes on the gripes and criticisms flung her way throughout her 50-yr career. She‘s so open, candid and freakin hilarious 😂 as she bares her soul thru the juiciest, funniest, touching, and most memorable stories. Sharon‘s many groundbreaking roles (Cagney & Lacey 🙌🏻) have empowered us all, and so will this book.

This book was great. Gless is honest and willing to admit when she screwed up. It was impossible not to cheer her on as she recounts her trials & tribulations.
