Another "wellness credit" book haul ?
The scientist Anna Berkova was asleep in her narrow bed in Pripyat, the closed city that housed workers from Chernobyl. She was cold, but then again, she was always cold.

My 2022 reading bracket! I really did love Atomic Anna. 😁 I couldn't put it down.
Thanks to @chasjjlee for the template!
This was compulsively readable and had so many things in it that were right up my alley. I loved all the characters and the way everything was leading up to one date. It was a definite pick, but I think the last chapter was too short and I'm not sure I agree that things would have worked out that way. I'm particular about time travel stories and I needed a little more convincing that changing A still allows B to happen. Still a great book though!
Here's my #BookSpinBingo card for October. Atomic Anna is my #BookSpin and Burnt Sugar is my #DoubleBookSpin. Happy October! Thank you, @TheAromaofBooks!
Our third stop for Independent Bookstore Day was Page and Pallette in Fairhope, where my picky 12 year old finally found a book. I got the tagged book and the Barbery. My husband got the book in the center. (I didn't make it to the store in Mobile, where I actually live, but it's the one I go to regularly and have my Libro.fm membership with, so I don't feel *too* bad.)
