This is the 3rd book in the Sunshine Vicram series which should be read in order and not stand alone. it begins with a plot in book one which is gradually revealed through the following books. What doesn't change is the witty sarcasm that makes Sunshine Vicram a likeable protagonist. This is addition does not disappoint with the mystery, wit and humor. A fun cozy mystery series.

I couldn‘t stop with the 2nd so I went ahead and read the 3rd. I wish it wasn‘t the end of the series! Such an awesome combo of humor, mystery, and romance.

Love this sweet, funny series that just got better with each book. Sorry it‘s wrapped up with three, as I‘ll miss these quirky characters. ❤️

The third book in the Sunshine Vicram mystery series. I‘ve never read such fun chapter headings in any other book besides this series. Darynda Jones has got some spunky humor!
For instance:
“If your coffee was so dark a
demon mistook it
for a portal to hell, you will
need three things:
a new mug, a mop, and an
exorcism.

Sheriff Sunshine Vicram currently has three pains in her ass: daughter Auri who is determined to become the youngest private detective Del Sol has ever seen, a mystery villain who is kidnapping women, and irritating/sexy Levi who may or may not be her something.

Such a fun new entry in the Sunshine Vicram series. It picks right up where the previous entry left off. Now that a big secret has been revealed, what will the fall out? This series has a delightful cast of characters and so much banter. I do recommend starting with book 1, these do not really work as standalones. It is a total screwball mystery, so know that going in. 4.5⭐️

Finished my reread last night and I loved it just as much as my first read. Actually a little bit more cause I didn‘t have to imagine Lorelei Kings‘s voice bringing this story to life.

When I started the first in this series (this is third), I wasn‘t sure about it initially. The constant snarky humor felt like it would get old real fast. But as I got to know the colorful, endearing characters the humor just seemed a natural extension of their personalities. I have since fallen hard for Sunshine, Levi, Auri and the gang. Sun has multiple cases going on here (par for the course for this sheriff)…a flasher assaulted with a 🔻

robinb knitting needle, a burglary by a tiny boy band, an escaped convict and on a serious note, one or more sexual assaults. There are also big developments in her personal life. While it‘s not a hardship to figure out the culprits in these mysteries (most of the time), that‘s oddly OK for me as it‘s the behind-the-scenes getting there that keeps me entertained (along with the humor, characters, romance…). 🔻 2y
robinb Just an overall good time with this one. And if you‘re interested, I‘d definitely start at the beginning (A Bad Day for Sunshine).

Cinfhen Excellent review!! I didn‘t realize this is part of a series!! So glad you shared that 😁 2y
robinb @Cinfhen Thanks, Cindy! Yes! I always try to mention series order because I like to know what I‘m getting into myself! 🤣 And this is definitely a series that adds on to each previous book. 2y
