Two down, four books to go! It's definitely a personal taste issue that stops me from wholeheartedly recommending these books. Gaiman (and associated artists) is a powerhouse of imagination and intense sentiment. I think the argument can be made that the violence and nudity fit the theme. It's impactful rather than gratuitous, but it's also all VERY DARK. I will continue in the series, slowly. 1/2

Huge respect for pro-choice, open discussion of women's reproductive health issues/options with a little feminist sex-positive sex-ed on the side.👏🏻 Same story has a queer couple and a trans character. Feels like this is the stuff that still gets challenged TODAY and this is a graphic novel from the 90s. 👍🏻 Thank you Neil Gaiman. 😘

I had started reading the volumes initially but then switched and bought the books so I could make sure to have all of them - since I loved them so much!
