I guess my new years res. Is to read everything by Lucy Clarke
1️⃣4️⃣ Reading outside for the first time this year ☀️ 📕 I made really slow progress through this one, the ending did wrap things up nicely but can‘t say I loved this book.
A beautiful remote island, blood orange sunsets, towering clifftop views.
And a building swell of lies between friends...
But who would kill for it ?
There were parts of this book that I did enjoy but overall I thought it could have been a lot less pages and the story only really got interesting in the last few chapters. Easy to read but not my favourite
This has been sitting on my audible shelf for a couple weeks but haven't been able to listen to an intricate story since starting my new job 3 weeks ago. Ready to give it the proper attention it deserves over the weekend! I love the premise and the narrator already.
There has been so much going on here that it has been hard for me to focus on reading lately….but when I picked this one up, I couldn‘t put it down. It was different than I anticipated - There were so many twists that I did not see coming 😱 I loved getting the story from different characters points of view and trying to figure out who the “bad guy” would be. What a ride! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
My friend sent me a kindle gift today and I cannot wish to get started !!! 📖
This was fun and twisty! Six women, all with secrets gather for a hen party. Loved the villa on a Greek island setting! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s
Starting my first book of August, morning reading on the deck. My happy place! #summerreading
Fun but maybe forgettable. 6 women, one isolated Greek villa and a metric ton of secrets. Fairly predictable but well written with a great sense of the forced fun and discomfort that comes when you being dispersed groups of friends together
Sorry if my reviews lately have been negative but I have to say that I found this book boring. Six women gather on Greek island for a hen party, the British version of a bachelorette do. Each woman is hiding something but the secrets are just meh. I don‘t want to say too much because I hate spoiling a read for others. I just started Daniel Silvia‘s Portrait of an Unknown Woman and it seems promising and will be a palate cleanser for mediocrity
A hen party in Greece gone wrong…can‘t wait to read this one!
This is an enjoyable psychological thriller. It‘s quite a slow burner where the tension builds up gradually, gathers pace and then accelerates along to an exciting finish. There are plenty of twists and turns en route. It‘s quite character based, not all likeable - I don‘t think I‘d want to go on holiday with these girls! I didn‘t guess the ending, either, another bonus. An intriguing and compelling read full of suspense and unease. #TBC

Lexi, the bride-to-be, has invited long-standing friends Bella and Robyn, Bella‘s gf Fen, future sil Eleanor and new friend Ana to celebrate her upcoming wedding to Ed. All are hiding secret motives for being there, and as those private purposes come to light, jealousies build, irritations manifest and lies are exposed leading to an explosive denouement.
