Another good Australian read, although didn't feel the Australianess (new word!) as much as in other books

November reads part 2
Life as a retiree!
Both audiobooks were superb 👌
There was one other book, a WWI diary by a Tassie soldier. An interesting counterpoint to the Palin diary.
Two books in a row! Woohoo!!🙌 First time I‘ve finished consecutive books in months😊 Another brilliant debut Aussie author, I‘m glad Booktopia was hyping them both. I enjoyed this one more than the last, maybe coz this was police based? Or maybe the setting was more like Sydney🤔Either way, I‘m happy to have read another book. It gripped me from the start with a pregnant cop with two cases that end up linked. Highly recommend #BookspinBingo
Next up(I‘m forever hopeful)is another debut Aussie crime writer. A very pregnant cop has been given two cases in her last week, an armed robbery & a review of a man drowned in rising river water. This is also set in NSW but it‘s the Northern Rivers region this time, an area that was pummeled by the summer rains & floods. And just because the weather gods hate us, a polar system is now hitting us with freezing temps & 60km winds. Yay. Stay warm!🌬
