Woohoo 🥳 I‘m ready to share my love for Madonna with the #MOvember challenge 🎧 I #cherish her ability to constantly reinvent herself and speak up for what she believes 🙌🏻 I‘m going with a Romeo & Juliet re-telling told through the eyes of Juliette‘s wet nurse. 🎶I can‘t hide my need for two hearts that bleed with burning love🎶

I don‘t post my kids‘ pics often these days... But this needs shared. Juliet is 5 1/2, and she‘s *suddenly* a reader. About a month ago she was still struggling to sound out simple words. But it clicked in the last 2 weeks. All weekend I‘ve been finding her ensconced in comfy places with a stack of level 1 & 2 readers. 😍😍

And she‘s suddenly noticing how much “Juliet” shows up in songs/stories, and is pretty excited to be “famous”! 😂

Catch up from yesterday #MarchIntoThe70s Using the voice of Juliet‘s wet nurse as the narrator, the city of Verona and all of its inhabitants are brought to life in this retelling of #RomeoandJuliet. Family rivalries, secrets, feuds and love affairs are all laid bare in this vibrant story. I really enjoyed this book.

4 stars here! Omgoodness! The author was creative! She‘d practically do William Shakespeare proud if he wasn‘t so vain. 😉. I recommend this to to anyone who likes Romeo and Juliet or William Shakespeare‘s works. Author stuck really well with timeline. Need I say more??

Cinfhen I liked this one ☝🏾 6y

Tadams4 Cute puppy! Is the pup a Havanese? 6y
Quirkybookworm @Tadams4 he‘s part Havanese. He has 3-4 different breeds in him. I did not know about Havanese until 4 yrs ago. A gentleman came up to me all excited asking me about Ewok. (My dog) He had two pure bred Havanese with them and I saw the resemblance. He told me the story of the breed and why they‘re rare. I thought it was quite fascinating ! 6y
tpixie I need to learn the story! My sister has 2! Your puppy is sweet! 6y

This is one of those books that I read years ago that I just constantly think about. If you enjoyed Shakespeare's classic at all, consider picking this up. I loved the author's voice and passionately adored Juliet's nurse and her husband. My only complaint was when it caught up to the original work's timeline, the charm left and Leveen didn't take any more risks.
