This book was a beast. Not only does it weigh a fair bit, it deals in heavy subject matter. George Michael was a deeply depressed individual. This book outlines his meteoric rise to the stratosphere of stardom. It also covers every dark spot on his record. From failed music tracks, fake girlfriends, and severe substance abuse to poor sexual decisions. If you have come to this book looking for a bubblegum good time, you won't find it.
Still plugging away at this one. This book is long. It may say under 600 pages but those are hardback sized pages.
I can honestly say that I don't clock publishers. Maybe I will for a while just to see if I gravitate somewhere in particular. #sundayfunday
Finally made to a part where he's happy. Was just starting to think that it was all sulking all the time.
Wow this chunkster is taking a while to get through. It's good though. If only he, Freddy mercury, and Adam Lambert were contemporaries. Just think of shows.

One of my earliest celebrity "crushes" and a recently reinvigorated interest led me to picking this up. I vividly remember hearing of GM's death and how that killed a tiny part of my childhood. This is an interesting study into the psychology of what can be called George's downfall. #59-2022
