Needed a little palate cleanser before I move to something brand new. I always love grabbing something silly and simple. #59 & 60-2025

I appreciated the writing style—it reminded me of Frederik Backman, with each chapter offering a third-person look into a different character‘s inner world. But the story and characters fell flat. They were unlikable, and not just because they came from old-money New York. The author‘s attempt to humanize them through philanthropy felt forced and unrealistic. Book #59 in 2025

I picked this up as part of my spooky season reading. It's not exactly that, but there is mystery brewing at every turn. It's interesting how the story unfolds. Even if the final climax is less intense than the mystery leading up to it. Recommend. #59-2024

This is #59 in the series. That I have not tired of this series is a testament to Nora Robert's skill at telling an entertaining story with interesting characters. While this was not one of my favorites, it was still an excellent mystery and probably a more realistic representation of the work of a detective (less action, more investigation). I always recommend you start at the beginning with “Naked in Death“ Thanks to Edelweiss+ for the ARC. 4/5

A library that holds unwritten books with characters who have the ability to escape, interesting idea and quite creative. Not sure why this library is in hell, but other than that I found this to be a fun read. A troupe of unlikely characters thrust together go on an adventure from literal hell to Earth to Valhalla and everywhere else. Book #59 in 2024

Read for #Roll100 (#59) in May (I‘m catching up with reviews) & this was a fun take on The Bachelor. Not much of a Cinderella retelling as advertised other than the MC being named Cindy & having (not evil) stepsisters/stepmother, but it‘s a cute body-positive rom-com book. I had a #OnceUponABookClub box for it & got gifts to open which made it fun. This is part of a Meant To Be fairytale series by different authors.

May always makes me think of flowers and spring so I went with some more colourful dice for #roll100

My parents were fans of Elvis my entire life. I mean, my name is Lisa Marie, though I've been told that's not why.
I saw the film Priscilla a couple of weeks ago and then realized that I'd had this book hanging around for a while. The movie is a very close adaptation of the sentiments in this book. Very interesting to hear (and see) Priscilla's version of their life together. #59-2023
