I adore the mail order bride trope. I had a friend that moved to Alaska years ago because of an Oprah show saying that‘s where men were -so I‘ve got a soft spot for that theme.
I listened on audio and enjoyed both the story and narration. She‘s coming out west engaged to Dallas, but his brother Houston is who is taking her on the three week trip to their ranch. It was a really sweet book and I‘m excited to read the next two books in the series.
@VioletSelene recommended Texas Destiny, so I downloaded it--and I can't stop reading! I love Lorraine H's books, but missed this one. The scarred hero and sunny (if inwardly wounded heroine) are fabulous. Reminds me of early Julie Garwoods or LaVryle Spencers. #romantsy #blameitonlitsy!
I have three books that I go back to on a regular basis. I own them in every format that they are available in. A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James, Texas Destiny by Lorraine Heath, and Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase. I will even fall asleep listening to the audiobook of A Kiss at Midnight...better than being read a fairy tale. ❤ #romantsy #osrbc
