A charming YA rom-com perfect for fans of Red, White, and Royal Blue and What If Its Us. Micah Summers runs a popular Instagram full of drawings of his numerous imaginary boyfriends (ninety-nine so far)though he's never had a real boyfriend before. But when a meet-cute with Boy 100 goes wrong, Micah embarks on a Prince Charming-like quest throughout Chicago to find true lovefor real this time. Will Boy 100 be the One? Micah is rich, dreamy, and charming. As the Prince of Chicago, the son of local celebrity sports radio host known as the King of Chicagohe has everything going for him. Unfortunately, hes also the prince of imaginary meet-cutes, since hes too nervous to actually ask boys out. Instead, Micah draws each crush to share on Instagram with a post about their imaginary dates. Ninety-nine boyfriends later, his account is hugely popular, and everyone is eagerly awaiting Boy 100. So is Micah. Hes determined that Boy 100 will be different. This time, Micah will sweep the boy off his feet, for real! So when Micah flirts with a hot boy on the L whos wearing a vegan leather jacket and lugging a ton of library books, he is sure this is Boy 100. But right before he can make his move and ask for the boys number, the guy rushes off the train, leaving behind his pumpkin-embroidered jacket. The jacket holds clues to the boys identity, so Micah and his friends set off on a quest to return it. Along the way, Micah will discover that the best relationships arent fairy tales. In fact, the perfect fitand true lovemight be closer than he thinks.

Finished the tagged book yesterday. It was kind of a cross between One Last Stop and What If It‘s Us with fairy tale references throughout. I did feel a little shameful about the potential plot twists I was cooking up in my brain that didn‘t end up happening. Afterward I felt like bad Amanda those characters would never!! 😆

Starting day 3 of #36by36 with just over 13 hours. Hoping to get to 16+ hours by the end of the day. ⬇️

MatchlessMarie I happened to have recently finished a Cinderella puzzle. Which was perfect with the numerous fairy tale references. I meant to finish it before October ended. You can't convince me that Cinderella is not a Halloween story. There is evil, magic, a pumpkin, a black cat, and dressing up. Come on. Starting Day 2 with just over 8 hours in for #36by36. The goal for today is to finish The 99 Boyfriends of Micah Summers and Pumpkinheads. I actually didn‘t realize a pumpkin embroidered jacket was going to be a plot point in the first book so this kind of reminds me of the #ThingsInCommon challenge that @Clwojick did last year. It‘s so fun when you find links between reads.

This book was so cute! I got it as a blind date with a book a few months ago from the Ripped Bodice, an it coincidentally was on my TBR. I loved the fairytale aspect of this book with Cinderella ties throughout. 5🌟

Micah Summers sketches boys he meets as fairy-tale characters and posts romantic fantasies about them on IG. Will the fantasy become a reality with boy No. 100?

The first half was quite fun as we follow Micah and friends in their quest to track down boy No. 100 after an encounter on a train, but when Micah tried to create a similar fairy-tale for his new best friend, Elliot, he started to get on my nerves.

How do I know it's Love? Because I've already thrown up twice, and I haven't even asked him out yet.
