#WeeklyForecast is "Too many books, too little time"

Tagged needs to go back to the library soon so have started it, I am 30 pages in and unsure.

Private Revolutions is a Women's Prize long list and I am still in Nonfiction November so going to get through that. Time and Again doubles and both a #10BeforeTheEnd and #BookedInTime read.

We will see how the US holiday week goes!

Ruthiella I usually think I‘m going to read more than I actually do on these long weekends! 😂 15h
sarahbarnes Too many books too little time is the story of my week too 😆 12h
willaful That's always the weather around here! 11h
BarbaraBB A lot of books 😉 4h

Bailedbailed

I bailed at 30% so I might be missing out on the deeper delve into how UPF effects women specifically but everything the author wrote up until that point I knew already. I read another book on UPF last year and really liked that/learned a lot but this was more of the same info and I just got bored listening to it. #10beforetheend

ChaoticMissAdventures Was the other by a British man? I read a different one that was pretty good, and I keep hearing this one unfortunately doesn't have a lot of substance and maybe a bit too much conjecture... Ah well off the list! 18h
youneverarrived @ChaoticMissAdventures it was, yeah. I would agree with that! I didn‘t really like the tone, either. Exactly 😁 46m

#10BeforeTheEnd Week 5

How is everyone doing??

I am glad I put enough nonfiction on here to get me through Nonfiction November! All the NF is ticked off (finishing Peepshow today) I now have some chunksters while I also look at #ToB

Anyone else feel like they are running out of steam??

Ruthiella I‘m on track at 50%. 👍 And at least two of the remaining will double up for other challenges. Dunno if I will manage all ten but at least eight. 20h
willaful Pretty much on track - DNFing one book helped. 😂 20h
sarahbarnes I‘m reading my fourth…I‘m now getting distracted by library holds and the TOB longlist! 📚 📚 📚 12h
Dilara I'm on track: I've finished 7 of the books on my list because some were unexpectedly short and/or quick reads, but also running out of steam in that my motivation has waned for 2 of the books still to be read 😚 8h

So, I know this is born out or Vampire Diaries (which I never watched or read) & Twilight (which I hated) …but I was still intrigued. The attempts at prose are forced& mishmashed. worldbuilding happens at 300 pages.. & I still don‘t care about either of these boys, Mira is an awful MC, she isn‘t driving the plot & solutions are spoonfed to her by another character. The action at the end is set up in such a way that book 2 may be better, but idk.

ChaoticMissAdventures oh noooo! Well at least it is off the TBR! ✔ ✔ 21h

I‘ve enjoyed this trilogy of murder mysteries set in a remote village in Siberia. The main character is sweet and likeable, backed by some amusing side-characters.

Mehso-so

It‘s Woolf, so of course it‘s well-written; it‘s just@not the sort of writing I enjoy. The PoV jumps around from person without warning, so it takes a minute to work out whose head we‘re in, which then makes it hard to feel the characters and the themes.

Book 5 for #10BeforeTheEnd @ChaoticMissAdventures

ChaoticMissAdventures ✔This is the Woolf I remember liking the most... She isn't really for me though. ✔ 1d

TheEllieMo @ChaoticMissAdventures it‘s the only Woolf I‘ve read… I don‘t think she‘s for me now

This was a delightfully sweet and spicy Christmas novella!

I had read the author‘s previous book, Somewhere Along the Line, and enjoyed it, so I knew I was going to love this one.

I typically don‘t love novellas. They rarely hit for me. But this one was a huge hit. It was exactly what a novella should be. Short and focused, but still told a satisfying story.
