The Summer House
The Summer House: A BRAND NEW addictive psychological thriller for 2023 | Keri Beevis
5 posts | 4 read
All NEW from bestselling psychological thriller writer Keri Beevis Mead House was once our childhood home. Despite my fears, I always knew we would have to return to face the demons of our past. Back to the place where it happened, to where, as carefree teenagers, we lost our elder sister in the most brutal of circumstances. As executors of our grandmother’s will, my twin brother, Ollie, and I needed to empty the house for resale. What I didn’t expect to discover was my sister’s secret journal that contained her most private thoughts and shocking dark secrets. Now I am questioning everything that I saw that night. Did I get it wrong, who I saw? Did my evidence send an innocent man, my then boyfriend's brother, to jail for the last 17 years? I know I have no choice. If I want to find answers, I will have to go back to that fateful night my sister died. When she made her last visit to the summer house. 'A gripping, mind-twisting thriller that kept me guessing until the end. A masterclass in suspense. Storytelling at its best' - Patricia Dixon 'An absolute jewel of a thriller. Full of betrayal, dark secrets & tense sub plots, this book was impossible to put down?????????' - D.E. White 'I trusted no one, I suspected everyone. A gripping, addictive thriller that had me hooked from the start and guessing until the very end.' - Natasha Boydell

I liked this book although I had a little trouble with the motive. There were also several red herrings and too many characters that didn‘t matter. Despite all that, it‘s a solid read and I was never bored. #audiowalk

I‘m hoping that I‘m not supposed to like Xav‘s friend, Bree, because she‘s pretty awful. So far, Lana, who is the main character, is the only one I‘ve liked from the start. I had a good day — I walked a lot, then this evening we went to see Judy Collins. She‘s 84, but her voice is still crystal clear and lovely. #audiowalk

Someone on here mentioned this book, and I thought it sounded intriguing, so it‘s my new #audiowalk book. After several days of rain, it was beautiful — if a tad chilly outside — so I got to walk without the fear that the sky would open up any minute. That was nice.

Lana‘s sister is murdered and Lana‘s testimony that she saw her sisters boyfriend on their property shortly before the murder puts him in jail. Almost 20 years later after the death of her grandmother, Lana returns home and starts to uncover things that makes her question if the real killer is behind bars. Good twisty story that keeps you hooked!
