The beloved leader of a planet... A non-citizen fugitive... And a secret love that could kill them both. Kailynn Evada was born on the most powerful planet in the Altereye System, but was raised in the non-citizen district of Trid. She always dreamed of revolution and changing the injustices of the planet Tiao. But when her brother's plot to destroy the A.I. that runs the planet falls apart, Kailynn finds herself struggling to save his life. Armed with false citizenship and determination to save her brother from execution, Kailynn finds work in the capital city, Anon, as a Significant-a person paid to act as a friend to clients. When a secret request for Significant companionship comes in, the pay drives Kailynn to accept the job. However, she soon discovers that her client is the most powerful person in the planetary system-Elite Isa, leader of the Elite Syndicate of Tiao who is genetically altered for perfection and forbidden from intimate relationships. The undeniable attraction between the two leads to a secret love that could kill them both.

Great story with many fantastic elements. Skillful world building? ✔️Tyrannical super computer with limitless power? ✔️ A close look at humanity and all of our strengths and weaknesses? ✔️ A forbidden romance between the (female) cyborg leader of the planet and a (female) rebel illiterate born in the slums? ✔️ There were some typos and lingo that seemed a bit off for the setting but I barely noticed them because I was so engrossed in the story.

MrBook Great review 😊👍🏻! 8y
Megabooks I'm so glad this one turned out well! 8y
Yamich49 @Ebooksandcooks Me too! It was really good despite the wacky cover 😜 8y

Had a work call wayyyy too early for a Sunday morning 🙄 I'm trying to take advantage of being up early and finish this book while snuggled in bed with this cutie. 🐶😴

Megabooks Adorable! 8y

LeahBergen Someone else looks sleepy, too 😉 8y
Yamich49 @LeahBergen Haha she definitely was - couldn't even put much effort into trying to chew up my blanket. 😆 8y
BookishFeminist 🐶❤️ Sunday pet snuggles are the best. Hope you were able to catch a nap! 8y
Yamich49 @BookishFeminist Right? They really are the best. I definitely have not napped at all, I have a hard time going back to sleep after I've been woken up early. 🙄 8y

Okay so I misspoke before - it's definitely a WLW romance but I think both of these characters are bi. And I'm not one to contribute to bi-erasure since we need more bi characters for sure! Even if only one of the ladies is human. 😆 Very interesting story so far - I'm almost halfway done (it's a bit long) and it has managed to keep my interest so far.

Okay look at these cheesy ass cover...How could I resist this book? 😆😆 Started it tonight and it's pretty good so far! Description: Lesbian sci-fi story that takes place on another planet and creates a forbidden, stars-crossed lovers situation between the leader of the elite oligarchy and a member of an anarchist group. 🙌🏽❤️👍🏽‼️👌🏼💁🏻👀

Zelma That sounds awesome. Don't you hate when you have to tell people to ignore the cover? 😆 8y
BookishFeminist This sounds like some inspiration for that new space opera we were going to write with @shortstack! 😂 8y
brendanmleonard That sounds way better than the cover! 🤘 = the emoji for revolution. 8y

Megabooks Yes, the cover sucks!! Is there any land on the planet on the cover? Hmmm.... Other than that, it seems you've found something cool. #dontjudgeabook 8y
Bibliogeekery Sounds interesting! I feel like I'm read the male version of this book right now called Castor. It's not in the Litsy catalogue. #queerbooks #queerscifi 8y
Yamich49 @Zelma Yes! Although I do kind of love cheesy covers - but I'm sure they turn off a lot of potential readers/buyers. 😆 8y
Yamich49 @BookishFeminist Right?!? I'll take some notes as I read through it so we can get some inspiration for our story! 😉😆 8y
Yamich49 @brendanmleonard Right? 🤘🏼 8y
Yamich49 @Ebooksandcooks You know, that's a good question. It's kind of hard to tell- it's not a very detailed picture of the planet. Maybe it'll end up being about two giant aliens with only heads who make out in space above landless planets? 😂 8y
Yamich49 @Bibliogeekery It is pretty interesting so far. With that premise, it would be difficult to write a boring story but we shall see. This one is missing the "The" in the title on Litsy so it was a bit hard to find. Castor sounds interesting, I only recently got into sci fi books so I'm always happy to get new recs. Especially for #queerscifi! 8y
