Stories about historical women behaving badly is one of my favorite tropes. This novel of Aimee Crocker did not disappoint. And as good historical fiction should it sent me down the rabbit hole to learn more. Exotic locations, interesting relationships and more kept me interested and entertained. 3.75 🌟
Went to another author event tonight! Saw Greer Macallister and Heather Webb!
It was a smaller event, which honestly I like so much better than the huge events they have!
It was a great night and a great discussion! And now I have 2 books to read.

“Tearing through millions of dollars, four continents, and a hearty collection of husbands, real-life heiress Aimee Crocker blazed an unbelievable trail of public notoriety, private pain, and the kind of strong independent woman the 1880s had never seen.”

The Thirteenth Husband
Another excellent story by an author I am beginning to throughly enjoy.
This book is so different from the last one I read by this author. Though still a historical book. This one is about a woman. A woman named Amy/Aimee. Set back in the late 1800s and when women had very few rights.
