•The author set the scene very well in this book, I felt like I was there at times and for me that‘s something. But the slow burn and possibly the plot's outrageousness brought this down a notch or two. This is one of those stories where the side characters are more interesting than the main characters.
• Brittany Pressley and Stacey Glemboski performed the narration excellently.

I‘m giving this a slight pick because it did get messy and muddled towards the end, but I did like the very end of the book. This is an okay thriller with lots of twists and turns that kept my interest. 3.5⭐️

A middling thriller that somehow manages to try to do too much and also not quite enough. It‘s both wildly unrealistic and bland. I‘m a little surprised I made it through. Not sure I would try this author again. Appealing cover, though.

I liked this one, but around the midpoint the mood of the story changed slightly and it felt a bit more zany than I expected, reminding me of the books in the Finlay Donovan series. The book had a great cast of characters and featured a group of strong women. The setting of apartments converted from a motel provided a wonderful setting. I could imagine this becoming a fun series featuring Cass, the manager/handyma'am. Thanks to Edelweiss+. 4/5!
