This book had me hooked from beginning to end. Some people may not like it, but I thought it was pretty good.

This cover 😍!! The story was good as well, sort of a folk horror/domestic drama/gothic horror. It ended up having the roots of the “mystery” being very realistic and sad, which I wasn‘t expecting, and I think I would have preferred it if it kept its feet more in the paranormal. That being said I still enjoyed it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book was just okay mostly because even for horror, some of the story was a bit much.
Mina, a child psychologist, is contacted by Sam, a paranormal investigator, to help with his investigation of Alice, a girl who is rumored to be possessed. The investigation soon starts to take a more siniter turn.

Alice has been acting strange. Townsfolk thinks he can speak to the dead. Journalist Sam convinces psychologist Mina to look into Alice's story with him.
This has an atmosphere of folk horror that I very much enjoyed.
Something in the Walls is an excellent horror/thriller novel. Mina, a child psychologist, and Sam, a journalist, travel to a small Cornish town to investigate a girl who believes she is being haunted by a witch. What they find in the village is even more horrific. There are many creepy scenes that had me racing to the end of the novel. 4 stars.

Set in a small village in 1989, this spooky novel spans a UK heatwave with strange happenings centering around a young girl. Newly graduated, Mina needs experience using her adolescent psychology degree & in a grief support group, journalist Sam finds an opportunity for both of them both professionally but also in the hope of contacting their lost loved ones. Eerie, with some predictable turns along with chilling scenes, I couldn‘t put it down!
