It‘s not an enthusiastic endorsement but it is a pick. Our tale begins at the end of WWII with the sinking of a u-boat and a mysterious box. Cut to the mid 90s in northeastern USA and a selection of marine scientists and of course, some kids, notice something is amiss in the waters around Amity Island. Whoops, Osprey Island. Is it the most original? No. Are there some minor plot holes? Yes. It was still entertaining and I liked the ending.
Bedtime reading with MacGruber by my side. Her only hope is that I forget she‘s a there so that she can eat this bookmark. I might, the carnage is real in this masterpiece.
Okay! Off to the races with some nautical horror. I was telling my husband (a proud German) the plot of this starts with Nazis (of course) and there is some shoddy welding by one of the Germans. He has determined that this book is totally implausible because no German welder would do shoddy work 😑🤣
I have to put up with this all the time 🙄
