What a gorgeous little book! I started taking photos of text I loved, it was so evocative. Even though the flora & fauna in the UK is so different than Australia‘s, the feeling of looking up at the stars with no city lights, & a dawn breaking with the sound of birdsong & mist is exactly the same. Definitely miss my #HappyPlace #Booked2019 #NonFiction2019 #SomethingOnYourTBRForOverAYear #MountTBR2019 #Bk1 #MtKilimanjaro

This whole book is so quotable, it reads like a love letter to nature.

“A shooting star, there! Another, & then another”

Started this tiny little book about the ancient pathways of South Dorset in the UK. Before I got sick I loved bushwalking so much, being in nature was definitely my #HappyPlace plus it‘s also #SomethingOnMyTBRForOverAYear so it‘s triple duty for #Booked2019 #NonFiction2019 & #MountTBR2019 1 off my #MountKilimanjaro

Stack No4 up for consideration for the #24in48 #readathon is a mix of emotion heavy graphic novels, poetry about scientists, 1920s crime, Neil Gaiman fantasy & this slim book called Holloway about walking the ancient trails all over the British Isles. Entertainment & learning in one small stack!📚

This isn't my favorite of MacFarlane's books but after I read it I lost a few hours of my life googling pictures of holloways and convincing myself that I am, in fact, an elf and holloways are my natural habitat.

brendanmleonard I am obsessed with Holloways so I will definitely have to pick this up. 8y
