pickFriday phew !
Another jack parlabane book and one of my favourite characters now takes on spiritualism. When an a apparently genuine American psychic arrives in Edinburgh convincing the Great + good to create a chair at the uni for research in the unknown. He appears genuine but sceptic Jack gets involved to test the claims. The story was as usual alive with wit, cynicism, and great plot. My only negative was the ending but it didn't spoil the fun
pickA Pick but a bit of a slow burn, if I‘m honest. Still, I was invested in finding out how the story would play out, and there were some funny moments.

Belated #BookHaul post from the Great Glebe Garage Sale. The book at the bottom of the pile was bought at a sidewalk kiosk; the rest were bought at the St. Matthew Anglican Church book sale. Not pictured are two books I bought for my grandma (which I might borrow 😁) and a box of Girl Guide cookies.
