Unlike Mor, I wouldn‘t dream of literally breaking a book apart. Spotless, gilded books are great too but if it‘s my personal collection, I like to have my books close to me, or in open shelves. 📚

BiblioLitten @Ruthiella I just finished the book. It took me a few chapters to get into but after that it came together wonderfully. Reflective and allegorical. 4y

A beautifully written book which perfectly captures the emotions of each character in such a subtle way. Iris Murdoch really understood the workings of human soul and knew exactly how to portray these on the page. Update- I have just finished it. A sad but predetermined ending.
