I loved this look at power, privilege and sexual politics written by a young first time novelist.

For #november #12in2021 I‘m at four books again! This is a trend.. #11thbookof2021

I loved the novel but the graphic novel really resonated with me for Juliet takes a Breath!
The Legend of Auntie Po is such a fantastic graphic novel about family and mythology.
Little Thieves blew me away probably one of my favorite retellings of the year.
The Ex Hex was so funny and enjoyable it‘s my guilty pleasure of the year award.

Pickpick

This is the only month of the year that didn‘t feature one of my #Top21in2021 so took a bit more thought!
Its about 2 women, and their lifetime of friendship with all it‘s ups and downs, and the man they both marry (at separate times.)The writing is beautiful, and the characters so nuanced, as their lives ebb and flow. I love a novel that seems simple, just a study of three people as they age, but digs so deep. Emotionally complex and engrossing.

This book. ??? Real, raw, emotional, different. I think the phrase "take it back to breathing" will be with me for awhile.

The #11thBookof2021 was Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay. This book struck a chord with me (pun intended) since the MC is a pianist and so am I. I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !! #12Booksof2021.

Andrew65 Another great choice. 2y
