pickMy #bookclub had a fun time discussing this one (though we will have to have the popcorn fish at our next meeting!), and I had fun listening to this while #AudioDecorating! It‘s a holiday rom-com with some genuinely funny parts— though the overall consensus was that it‘s a better listen than read because of how great the performances are! It‘s not unpredictable, plus Grace‘s discovery about the past felt unnecessary, but it‘s a fun holiday story!
pickWhat a fun book to do some #AudioDecorating with! Though I grew up more on the Disney Winnie the Pooh (from the movies, to the animated & the live-action TV show), I was curious to learn more about the man (& boy) behind the bear. This well-performed #audiobook offers more detail about not only A. A. Milne‘s family, but his other writings. Some of the transitions & excerpts were a little abrupt in the audio, but otherwise, an informative listen!
KEY LIME SKY‘s prologue was so purple I felt sure my last Auld Lang Spine title of 2025 was gonna be a quick-bail. Thankfully, the rest of the book was WAY less florid, and spectacularly entertaining into the bargain. I loved it.
I barrelled through to the end while I cleaned, put out some Hallowe‘en decorations, and preserved my Candy Crush streak. #audiodecorating
Today I installed atmospheric lighting while I listened to a goodly chunk of DEACON KING KONG. It‘s way more entertaining than I expected from a book where the inciting incident is a (non-fatal) shooting. I‘m absolutely delighted with and invested in this community and its inhabitants.
The lights hang off of my bookshelves and my desk, and they can turn fourteen different colours. I‘m delighted with them, too. #audiodecorating
I hung a wall of lights in my reading nook, for obvious reasons. Gonna keep the blinds closed and the lights plugged in for the next two months, thanks.
I also made a good start on Jenny Colgan‘s 2021 Christmas release, and it‘s… kind of bitchy so far? And whiney? I hope the protagonist‘s time at the bookshop helps her to evolve past the whiney bitchiness stage of her emotional development. #audiodecorating
Slowly working on gettkng my horror shelf Halloween/Fall ready. It needs some work but it's a start.
I really think it will offset the Christmas lights I still have up all over the house 🤣

#audiodecorating outside for halloween and this 8 legged dude was lurking behind some of my outdoor wood decor. I'm not that close to the water so I don't normally get wharf spiders in my backyard, but clearly this one wanted to help decorate...
This books is good but it requires a bit of big brain energy to keep the characters straight (especially on audio book) and i'm not sure I'm in the mood for that right now.
pickRather than #AudioColoring, I did #AudioDecorating while listening to this Rumpelstiltskin re-telling! While I have many titles by Meyer in my TBR, this is my actual first experience with her writing-& I absolutely loved it!! Serilda‘s storytelling combined with her golden flecked eyes have always made trouble for her- but her life spins in an entirely new direction when on the Winter Solstice she encounters the Erlking & dares to lie! Loved it!!
I didn‘t get as much done as I wanted to this weekend, but I did some more #AudioDecorating and hung some garlands in our living room. ❤️🎄
