Walter Grey has been a puppeteer his whole life. Now 80 & in a memory care facility, he tells his 3 adult daughters that he has another daughter. Shocked, the half-siblings work together to find their missing sister. Along the way toward answers, they find an addendum to the will that picks at each woman‘s insecurities. A satisfying read with clear character arcs for each daughter, I found myself listen to this at every opportunity! #AudioColoring

It might just be me, but this book had trouble holding my attention. Parts of it were action packed and original, but the characters didn't strike me as fully fleshed out and I thought it was longer than necessary. I wonder if I would have enjoyed it better in print instead of audio. Anyway, I did color this flowery cat, among other things, which was relaxing.
This family drama/coming-of-age novel starts with Ricky‘s family moving to a new neighborhood after a divorce. Ricky‘s powerful imagination fuels the play with younger brother, Ollie and offers a respite from neighborhood bullies, family stresses and Ricky‘s own feelings of abandonment. It hits big topics from eating disorders, gender identity, sexual abuse and grief. I think this will lead to lively discussion! #AudioColoring
While this isn‘t my favorite of Young‘s YA fantasy novels, I overall enjoyed listening to this #audiobook. Bryn leaves her great-aunt‘s care after her 18th birthday to return to the Roth family seat. The Roth‘s have rough edges & some criminal ways, but Bryn is determined to find her place amongst them. Less-action packed & though set in the same world as FABLE, this works as a standalone. The romance takes over a lot of the focus. #AudioColoring
I know my #AudioColoring picture doesn‘t match White‘s character on the show, but this is the only picture I have finished in my #GoldenGirls coloring book! I bought this title in an Audible sale, and have been meaning to listen to it since the start of the year. I loved listening to White recount her television (and radio!) career from the forties to the early nineties! It‘s a pleasure to listen to- I only wish it had more detail!
Bryn lives quietly in rural Tennessee- avoiding people as much as possible after a terrible betrayal 15 years earlier. But when the product of that betrayal unexpectedly arrives at her door, she is forced back into her past to help her nephew. Well-performed, the two narrators bring these characters to life. And while the villain may be a bit over the top, it‘s an engaging story and one I couldn‘t stop listening to! #AudioColoring
Set at the end of #WWII, this book shows an uncommonly portrayed part of the war- Maria, released from a Nazi labor camp, makes her way home to Poland- where fighting continues with a variety of factions- Polish, Soviet & Ukrainians. Like Maria, Kostya is motivated by family- but he tries to balance his courier role between two groups- willing to do anything to keep them alive. Reliant on coincidences but fast-paced, it‘s gripping from the get-go!
This spooky listen opens with an eerie desert discovery before moving to the road trip between adult siblings, Nell and Jonah. Nell felt abandoned by her older brother‘s sudden departure from New Mexico so she‘s excited for the drive bringing her newly divorced brother home. Her attempts to raise his spirits by reminding him of his past backfires but it‘s not long before the biker gang isn‘t the only one tailing them down the road! #AudioColoring
