Oh I like the books by Dana so much. They are so motivating! Now I'll grab a trash bad and start to decluttering.
Book 1 of 6 for my #winterreadathon @Andrew65

4.5 stars for this middle grade book! The two main characters are lovable! The friendship issues are relatable. The food descriptions are mouth-watering! I only wish that the lessons on racism/prejudice were less on the nose- they were already naturally part of the story.
My #recipeinstory book for #autumnbingo2022
This one was just okay. I felt like there was a lot going on in such a short novel so that it was difficult to meaningfully get into any of it. Carter and Abby meet by chance after Abby wrecks her car and Carter is assigned as the insurance adjuster to resolve her claim. Carter gets in trouble at work for embellishing his accident reports to make his boring job more fun. Abby's uncle who raised her is having health issues. ↘️
This version of the classic holiday tale felt fresh and energetic, while remaining true to the original story. The unusual, beguiling illustrations added a bit of quirkiness. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this! Thanks, @Charityann for a great December pick for #FairyTaleReadingChallenge !
Stumbled across this cute novella after reading the prequel short story Snow Way in Hell. This was a zero angst romance with a bad first impression that leads to better communication and feelings. Overworked chocolatier Luca meets eager tourist Max, who's planning an anniversary surprise for his brother and best friend
