Battlestar Galactica Classic | Glen A. Larson, Robert Thurston

The Frank Frazetta cover made me do it. This is actually the 1st two books in one of the 14 book series. How did I live before ebay? Hopefully the stories are well written so my childhood memories of the original show are not tarnished.

Battlestar Galactica | Glen A Larson

I found this while on a flea market adventure. It turns out there are 14 Battlestar Galactica books. I may have already ordered another one thanks to ebay. I'm kinda shocked I didn't know these existed. I mean, I always check the sci-fi section in second hand bookshops. How have I never come across any of them? I loved this show as a kid.

This book was really fun and interesting. I learned a lot about how the series came about and what the creators had in mind while they were making it. Very good if you enjoy either version of the show.

wtimblin You aren't gonna like this, but I've never seen BSG. As a 36 year old self-professed sci-fi geek, I am a little embarrassed about this. But I worry it is too late. Does it still hold up today? 6y

Geeklet @wtimblin I haven‘t seen the original but the reboot is still great. The last two seasons are a little wonky but the first season is amazing. It‘s my favorite show. As a giant Star Trek fan, it‘s hard for me to admit that BSG is better. I think the entire series will run on Sy-Fy next month. 6y

RIP Richard Hatch. I saw Richard at Dragoncon every year--sometimes for dinner, sometimes just for a chat, but always made sure to catch up with him on his current projects. I'm still staggering from the loss. He was a true light in the universe.
