At my house we hike weekly if we can all seasons but winter. Camp Porch View has taken hikes to waterfalls in CT this spring & summer. But rather than focus on another nature hike,we plan to follow the Wallace Stevens Walk in Hartford. He is a major American poet who lived and worked in Hartford most of his adult life. 🚶🏻📚

Enthralled with this series, which I was introduced to when I found Still Life on a remainder table a year after its initial publication. So Superintendent Gamache is our literary luminary for the day. He will read an excerpt from the tagged book, & set up a challenging scavenger hunt, after which we will play the board game Clue.

I started needlepointing when my wise older sister gave me a small sampler kit to try when I was bedridden while recovering from a car accident.What a life saver! I wish I had more to display but when I adopted cats 20 years ago I gave what I had made for myself away(a made many a gift)These 3 I kept- The first two were my first try after the sampler; the other I made for my son.

Beautiful day to celebrate summer camp! Breezy, blue skies with white powder puff clouds. This camper took a 2 mile neighborhood walk with a friend to enjoy the weather.
