First two days of this week already done… I haven‘t read anything since Sunday, I can‘t concentrate. Election anxiety is sky high, especially since I‘m not American and can‘t really do anything. To all American 🇺🇸 Littens, please make your voices heard today 💙🗳️.

I loved this nearly as much as I did the (tagged) previous book. The Bergman family is fantastic! Ren js a pro hockey player who is secretly in love with Frankie, the team‘s social media manager. She is on the autism spectrum and doesn‘t pick up on the clues that he is into her. Ren is gentlemanly, respectful, and obsessed with Shakespeare. I adore him! A little steamy for my taste (usually) but I love this family so much that I didn‘t even care.

intothehallofbooks I normally never read series books back-to-back, but all I want to do is inhale these books. They‘re so fun and scrumptious! 2mo

As a woman diagnosed with hEDS in the last 1.5 years, this book is so validating. It also explains so much of my own experiences with medical professionals. The EDS explains so much of my life history. This book is such an important starting point, this should be required reading for any medical professional to be licensed in the 2020s.

GingerAntics How are women to be treated like human beings with the ability to make decisions for themselves about their lives and their medical treatment socially and culturally, if medical professionals don‘t even take us seriously as human beings? #elinorcleghorn #unwellwomen #chronicillness #sexism #everydaysexism #eds #heds #pain #chronicpain #iamanunwellwoman 4mo
GingerAntics This was quite a lovely companion today as I sat in dealing with low level joint pain and ridiculously dry eyes (I swear, every day I find a new connection between something truly annoying in my life and EDS). 4mo
kspenmoll I am happy you have a diagnosis; sad you are living with its symptoms. I looked it up but sounds like there are many kinds. Do you have a source you think is best? I know we are just litsy friends but i care for you. 🩵 I got Unwell Women from the library. (edited) 4mo

GingerAntics @kspenmoll honestly, I‘m still wrapping my head around it. Every time I turn around another random thing is tied to it. lol I‘ve taken to just googling the symptom and EDS just to see what pops up. lol There is the Ehlor‘s Danlos Society that‘s pretty good. I haven‘t found any books yet. There are 13 kinds or 16 kinds. It‘s a lot of kinds. I have the hypermobile kind. It‘s the only one without a genetic test. 4mo
GingerAntics @kspenmoll it‘s finally an answer to why I‘ve felt like I was “getting old” since my late teens. It took a physical therapist asking the right questions for me to end up with a diagnosis. Man I love that guy! The book is great! It‘s also kind of sad how women have been completely abandoned and even outright harmed by the medical profession when men took over and started outlawing midwives/women from attending births and caring for each other. 4mo
GingerAntics @kspenmoll like most things, if guys would just keep out of it, or come in asking questions instead of making pronouncements, we would be SO much further along. 4mo

“I throw out my back every other week. And it‘s not from lifting a sofa. It‘s from, like, sneezing.” - Millie

With chronic pain and degenerative discs in my low back, this is so relatable lol 😂

Jean Meltzer‘s characters are so easy to fall for! Loved reading a book that blended sex positivity and religion. The chronic illness representation was also top notch. Overall a sweet story (pun wasn‘t intended but now it is!)

This is the third book of the author‘s I have read & possibly my favorite. She creates characters that are easy to fall for & romance that isn‘t too light. In this case it‘s Avi & Ethan, from rival Jewish baking families when Ethan is sent (blackmailed) by his grandfather to steal Avi‘s family‘s famed pumpkin babka recipe. Avi suffers from severe chronic pain from interstitial cystitis & Ethan has ⬇️

DebinHawaii …trauma & guilt from his parents‘ death when he was a child. The NYC kosher bakery setting & secondary characters are a delight & as with the author‘s other books, I learned a lot (about IC & chronic pelvic pain, Jewish culture, tradition, food & baked goods & even medicinal cannabis) Overall an entertaining & engaging read. This week was long & tiring so I treated myself to some self-care & a #HyggeMoment & had a leisurely & delicious breakfast while running my errands. Mexican Street Avocado Toast & Potato-Ulu Rostini (ulu is breadfruit & they combine it with potato in these crispy hash browns). Got a bit more of the tagged book I started on Wednesday in. It‘s a sweet romance & I am enjoying it as I have the author‘s other books.💙
