pickI loved this book. Robin is saved from cholera by Professor Lovell. Lovell raises him to become a translater at Babel, the institute at Oxford that enchants silver to the benefit of the British Empire (the crown & the aristocracy). There Robin meets Ramy, Letty & Victoire. They become like family & then Robin meets his real half brother, who opens his eyes to the real power of Babel.
