I‘m still really liking this one. Except… the Dalinar visions are getting old. I could edit those out and be pretty happy still. But I won‘t. I‘m sure they are worth it later. Thankfully I love all the time we spend with bridge four, so it‘s helping me to get through the less interesting parts. #CosmereBuddyRead

Meshell1313 Yes I agree- but I know part 2 is just the build up to what is coming. I really liked the Moash storyline!!!! He is working with the enemy! What did he learn? I have so many questions. 3d

I have read a lot of reviews that said this book drags on too much. Maybe it‘s just me, but I can‘t get enough of it. I‘m enjoying every last bit.

rabbitprincess I‘ve been finding this one a bit slower than Words of Radiance, but not sure how much of that is the book and how much of that is my thesis work kicking into high gear and leaving my brain mushy 😅 6d

Leniverse I've started a new job with a steep learning curve, and I've been too tired to even contemplate starting a 1200 page book, even though I've been really eager to continue the story. Today I finally decided to get started. I read until the end of ch. 17 in one go 😅 Not a pace I can maintain during the week, but I feel confident I'll be able to catch up. Love it so far! 5d

This might be the definition of epic fantasy. Lol I split the first part into two parts to make it a bit more manageable. Because wow, this is a big one! I try to keep us as close to 200 pages as I can. I can‘t wait to get started though.

Meshell1313 Yes I agree! My favorite of them all was emperor‘s soul. I liked shadows - the female bounty hunter. That one was good also. 6th dusk and the bird magic I didn‘t like as much. The ending felt unfinished. And edge dancer I liked. I liked Lift and the story of the voidbringers and I hope we see more of her in the future! 3w

Leniverse The Emperor's Soul was my fave too. When I got to the last story I understood why we needed to read this now though. Between that and the secret history I feel like I have a slightly better grip on what's what in the Cosmere. And Lift's character makes more sense to me now. Plus I can't wait to see how both Darkness and the white assassin will develop in the next book! 3w

The next in our #cosmerebuddyread was this collection of short stories. I loved getting some missing chunks from books we‘ve read, but I also loved meeting some new characters who I hope we will see again in the future. I also loved his post scripts explaining each story and his intros to each solar system. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meshell1313 And finally Mistborn- I loved being back with Kelsier and Vin and getting this missing chunk. It filled in a lot of gaps and I loved the ending- the potential for him to come back! 1mo

Leniverse @Meshell1313 Agreed! I think The Emperor's Soul has been my favourite so far, although I loved all the behind the scenes in Mistborn stuff. I almost want to go back to the final book and compare some situations, look for hints of Kelsier 😂 And I'm happy to finally get some answers about the Cosmere! 1mo
