#scarathon photo challenge: pumpkin. Stumpkin has become our favorite Halloween book to read every year. My daughter insists every year to find & buy our own Stumpkin. The pumpkin on the left was her Stumpkin for this year (6 points). #BatBrigade

Boy and Bot | Ame Dyckman

This is a very funny, creative, and entertaining story. It ties elements of robots and futuristic technology into the life of a little boy. The robot is the little boys friend. It was entertaining when the robot tried to fix the boy by piling him up and reading an instruction manual, as you would do for most machines.

This is a story about a little boy who is playing outside and finds a robot. They starting playing outside together, when the robots power switch accidentally gets turned off. The boy tried to fix the robot but couldn‘t. When the boy went to sleep the owner switch got bumped and he turned back on. The robot thought the boy was broken when he was sleeping and then tried to fix him too. They finally both are on and up and play again.

Fresh batch of robot picture books: Sharing Does Not Compute is fun and I'm stunned a board book is in such good condition, given the target audience. Little Bot and Sparrow is sweet with beautiful illustrations but I can't help feeling it was trying too hard to be slightly melancholy. Welcome to Your Awesome Robot is a fun way to spend an afternoon with a cardboard box. Boy + Bot is just adorable. I would happily have adventures with that Bot.
