BarbaraBB That cute wondering face 😍 (do you call it ‘face‘ when it‘s a dog?? In Dutch we don‘t but I can‘t come up with an alternative in English) 4y
Cinfhen Yup @BarbaraBB we use the word face!! I‘m curious what expression you use in Dutch?!?! 4y
TrishB @Cinfhen very curious! Gorgeous Doggo 🐶❤️ 4y
Cinfhen I miss him more than the kiddos @TrishB 4y
TrishB 😂😂😂 I have the dog and no kiddos! 4y
BarbaraBB @Cinfhen @TrishB Lol, in Dutch only people and horses have heads, faces and legs. For all other animals we have other words. It doesn‘t really make sense I realize. Anyhow, a dog‘s face is called a ‘snuit‘ which - according to Google - translates as ‘muzzle‘... sounds familiar 🤓?! 4y
Cinfhen We have the word snout @BarbaraBB which refers to an animal‘s nose and mouth. A muzzle is a device placed over an animals nose & mouth to keep the animal from biting/ attacking. Both words have a negative connotation (edited) 4y
Cinfhen Awww, you must be glad to have Sansa but probably missing the kiddos terribly @TrishB I‘m thinking about you xxx (edited) 4y
Megabooks @BarbaraBB and Cindy, in vet med, we use muzzle both for the restraint device and the area it goes on, which is the upper and lower jaw area. Using jaw as a term for the bones the upper and lower teeth are attached to. 4y
Megabooks Awww...he reminds me of Henry! That‘s such a poodle expression. None of my other dogs made one like that. 💖💖 What a cutie!! 😍😍 (edited) 4y
KarenUK Such a good face..... I understand totally missing it! 💕😘 4y
BarbaraBB @Cinfhen @Megabooks Thanks for clearing that up! Languages are interesting things. I must remember the negative connotation, since in Dutch it is only used in a positive way: ‘such a sweet little “snuitje” 😻 4y
Cinfhen Language is funny that way @BarbaraBB and yes @Megabooks Herzl makes the funniest faces!! His poodle genes are very strong. He‘s a smart pup 4y
Cinfhen Do you agree the word snout or muzzle has a “negative” tone @Megabooks or is it more of a medical term?? 4y
Cinfhen And now my son got a dog, just yesterday @KarenUK I think it‘s the same breed as your lovely guy. His name is Gatsby and he‘s an Aussiedoodle 4y
Megabooks @Cinfhen I mean it does to me more in the sense of yelling at someone to “muzzle it” more than the body part or the device. The device isn‘t so bad. These days most are canvas material and being snug in that area calms a lot of dogs and provides a level of safety in working with a scared or fractious animal. That said, I probably used it with maybe 1-2 patients a week, and I‘d often see 10+ patients a day. 4y
BarbaraBB Got you email! Thanks so much! I‘ll get back to you soon 😘 4y
Cinfhen Yes, “Put a muzzle on it” definitely comes across as hostile @Megabooks 😂😂😂Hope you‘re feeling well. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. How‘s your dad doing?? (edited) 4y
Cinfhen @BarbaraBB xxxx always 💗 4y
Megabooks @Cinfhen thanks! Hope you‘re settling into Israel well. I know it‘s hard to be so far sometimes, but you seem to have a pretty awesome life as an expat. 😀😀 Dad continues to work hard. It‘s just a matter of that and time to see how much he can get back. I‘m just really hoping he doesn‘t get Covid because it is CRAZY around here!! 4y
KarenUK @cinfhen Awww I bet Gatsby is adorable! Mine are/were pure Aussies.... An Aussie poodle mix is going to be the smartest dog ever! 💕 4y
Cinfhen My son said Gatsby is already showing signs of great intellect 😊🤣😂😂 @KarenUK 4y
