The storytelling and pacing in this read was spot-on, I‘m not sure if that compliment goes to Mr Patterson or Mr Safran because I haven‘t read many of Patterson‘s books, but this was SO FUN! I‘d love a sequel in which the Sullivan family deal with another Christmas carol 😂❤️💚❤️💚❤️
pickRead this at the recommendation of my sister. While I enjoyed it, I don‘t think it was quite what I was expecting- not super romantic. Fun and fast read though.
This isn‘t from the book, per se. It‘s from the closing credits. Totally recommend the audiobook. If for nothing else, than for Richard Pendragon‘s door! Tell Door Pendragon that he‘s a “good door”… by listening to him in this audiobook. 💀💀💀

pick5 squeaky doors for this book. This is 100% an instagram made me do it situation. I saw multiple funny posts about this one and finally gave in. It was hilarious, but it also made you actually feel for the characters and inhale the plot (yes, it‘s got a well thought out plot). I wouldn‘t mind a sequel with this couple to see how they‘re getting on a few years down the line.
pickA low pick. This story doesn‘t know exactly what it is. Is it supposed to be funny or a tearjerker? For young people or adults?🤷🏻♀️It was very silly at times and I can‘t figure out exactly who the audience is supposed to be.
But when I stopped trying to analyze it and just read it as a quick, quirky seasonal tale: it‘s an ok story. I was invested in it. I finished it. I might have enjoyed the audio a bit better if the narrator is a good one.
so-soSupremely silly, a little lazy, very predictable, but fairly inoffensive. This probably could have been about half the length if the narrator didn't keep attempting quippy remarks (such as: the bird lined up a peck at his eye like Luke Skywalker lining up a shot at the Death Star)(ugh). Overall, I liked the character arcs and the story, I just did not like the writing or the story's narrator (and the narrator reveal at the end made no sense).
pickMy first James Patterson - very quick and easy read. I feel the style of this is almost like that person in a friend group who tries too hard to tell the best story to make you like them. With two authors, I‘m not sure who this style belongs to more? Fun for #wintergames tho!

My first Patterson book. Well, "Patterson and..." Not sure what the division of work is ? Writing is a little gimmick-y, but okay so far.
pickI read this for my book club and loved it! Since it's Patterson I expected a mystery or crime story but it's really a sweet holiday story of family and a crazy way the magic of Christmas is brought back into their lives. There was a bit of mystery to it, and I even had vibes of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle (anyone remember her? 🙋🏻♀️). Overall just a pleasant, fun, holiday read. 🤓 #holidaybook #cutestory 🎄
