I've been away for a few days, sidelined with a shoulder injury. Playing catchup with #anditsaugust. I have not yet read Devil In The White City, but my husband raves about it so it's going on my to read list. This is my choice for #itshistory.

I don't have as much history on my shelves as I'd like, but these three fit the bill! The tagged one is the only one I've read. The other two I'm very shame-faced about... they were optional/suggested reading for a class I took during a semester studying abroad in Florence. 20 years ago. Still on the #TBR. 😟

It's heavy on the Lakota side because two of my characters from the 1920s writing project are Lakota, but l like to learn about different Native cultures too.

This is a section of my collection of books about the 1920s. More precisely about the American Roaring Twenties.
I started reading about this topic seven years ago, when my research for a new writing project begun. I became fascinated.
This year l started researching 1920s Europe as well.

Last Call, the tagged title, is one of the best books about Prohibition l've read. Great social commentary
