Thank you to everyone who read along with me this year! Re reading Jane Austen's novels together was lovely! #janeaustenreadalong

Birdsong28 It was lovely. I have discovered more about the wonderful Jane Austen through reading some of her other books than just P+P I don't think I would have read them without you cheering me on. 😀😀😀📖📚 6y
sammisho @Birdsong28 That makes me happy. I love sharing my love of Jane! 💞 6y

Good. Enjoyed the story and the way that in this book Jane Austen sometimes breaks the 4th wall and talks to the reader about what is currently going on and whether the outcome is what the reader wanted.

I am really sorry for the lateness in reading this @sammisho but when I started it in August I was in a really stressful job and was looking for another one so I wasn't in a good headspace. Thank for doing the readalongs I have enjoyed them.

aquariusnat I read this a few years ago too . I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Certainly wasn't what I was expecting from Jane! Obviously read P&P and S&S a few times and Emma too . So this was quite a surprise for me. 6y

Only 6 of these were ones I originally had planned on, but I went through what I‘ve actually read so far and replaced the other 20 with other classics that I read through #ShakespeareReadAlong #EarthseedBuddyRead #JaneAustenReadAlong #Reading1001 etc and with that I am counting this #ReadingChallenge complete

#LitsyClassicsAtoZ
#ReadingChallenge2018
And a few also worked for my #MountTBR and #192019 challenges, so that‘s a plus.😉

DGRachel I love when a book multitasks and works for more than one challenge. I don‘t repeat a book for prompts within a challenge, but I do like checking off boxes in multiple challenges! Good for you! 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @DGRachel Yes, I completely agree, it‘s a great feeling when that happens. 6y
Daisey Congrats on finishing it with plenty of time to spare! 6y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Daisey Haha, that‘s ok, it just gives me 2 months to finish up the other ones I started. My overall MountTBR, for one, is WAY behind schedule! 6y
Andrew65 Got one more book to go on my #LitsyAtoZChallenge. Congratulations! 🍾🥂🎈👏 6y
Gezemice Congrats! That‘s awesome! I have reworked mine, too, but still have a few to go on it. You are up on it this year! 6y

Just a little snippet of a story. I would love to know what happened to Emma Watson and her sisters. Did Emma find true love with Mr. Howard? I like to think she did.

Charlotte had the makings to be a great heroine. And I can't help but wonder what role the handsome Sidney Parker would have played if Jane was able to finish this novel.
#janeaustenreadalong

CrowCAH I agree! Though it‘s still a fairly complete story as is. 6y
sammisho @CrowCAH It is. I feel like there were only a few chapters left for her to write. 6y

Another unfinished tale...just enough to get you interested and wet your appetite. If only she‘s had time to finish this tale, I want to know what happens next.

You must spend “at least six weeks by the sea every year” to be truly healthy. I think we need this to be codified into mandatory vacations....right?

Here what mine said at the end according to Austen Leigh‘s memoir on Jane Austen

#JaneAustenReadAlong

LoverofLit This is perfect! Thank you so SO much 💕 I'm glad they ended up together. 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @LoverofLit Yes, it‘s such a short snippet of an unfinished work, but you are definitely left wanting more, so I was glad to hear a bit where it was headed, and it made me thing I need to read that memoir soonish. 6y

This book, though unfinished, was SO good. I loved Emma and rooted for Mr. H, though without the ending I have no idea if they ended up together. Such smarty, witty, forward thinking writing. I am sad to have finished this year's #janeaustenreadalong and just want to start right over again! @sammisho

Riveted_Reader_Melissa According to mine, there was notes from the family member who found and published it...her discussion with her family was that they would eventually end up together...after some turmoil of course... I hope that helps 6y
LoverofLit @Riveted_Reader_Melissa That does reall help actually! Thank you 😘 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @LoverofLit I‘ll post it for you under a spoiler tag. 6y
