Apart from travelling the goal I want to achieve next year is my languages, even if its just "hello and goodbye" I want to see if I can understand and translate.
I love the feeling when I get the chance and I'm going to take it!

The Library Bus | Bahram Rahman

Pickpick

#12BOOKSOF2022 This one really stuck with me a picture book I read for #foodandlit

MAY

Author Bahram Rahman grew up in Afghanistan during years of civil war and the restrictive Taliban regime of 1996-2001. He wrote The Library Bus to tell new generations about the struggles of women who, like his own sister, were forbidden to learn.

Books saved me as a child. To not be allowed to read and learn is a fate worse than death.

Andrew65 Frightening that we are back here again with Afghanistan. (edited) 1mo

The French womans biggest problem in learning English was the strange pronunciation (I imagine she's referring to the r's that don't originate from your rectum).
