Overall I liked this book. The illustrations are a crazy that is lovely and fresh. The story rhymes but the cadence gets lost sometimes. I love the layout of the words, but sometimes changing the fonts and colors makes it hard to read or know what word goes where. The story has a message that many need to hear, but with its length and illustration type, I feel it will not find an easy home.

Like most books in the Little People Big World series this is a well done introduction to a historic character. I wish the author would have been brave enough to include the assassination. The book makes everything seem like there was a happy ending when there was not.

I can not wait to read this at storytime. It will be so much fun. Duck is at a birthday party and he was going to bring the best present every, but something kept happening to it. This story full of imagination and heart. I will have you smiling from cheek to cheek. The author did such a good job at giving the duck a voice that this could be very interactive when reading to others.

OMG I have not played elastic skip in so long. It wasn‘t a thing in state side schools (military brat here). To see a kid who hope someone will play with him so they can pass the game on…. So sweet. All around a pretty sweet book with illustrations to match.

Being old enough to know Motown and the group the Miracles this book was a bit hard to understand at first. It wound a fairytale around the formation of the Miracles, and it‘s only female singer. But the story is so sweet. The rhymes are a bit harsh and there is no cadence which it needs. At first the artwork was a bit rough, but it grows with the story to become a great accomplishment. Just change the cover please.

Panda is having a bad day. Everything he does, touches, or anyone he talks to just makes it worse. His friends try to brighten his day anyway. And it works, at least for a little bit. This read was fun and is a great way to show kids that it is okay not to be happy all the time.

As always, Q was a pain. I am 2 books away from #LitsyAtoZGN which I am hoping to conquer when the kids dad gets home. I can have computer time (on my laptop) because they think it is work, but not reading time. Until it's bedtime reading time.

This was such a cute board books. It uses soft illustrations and cut out to start an idiom and let the reader try to guess the animal. I loved it and it will be going on my list of to be bought for baby showers.

This was such a cute story. A kitty may look big, but sometimes that is all fluff. So Kitty needs some extra weight. But Kitty hates wearing cloths, and it gets them in trouble one day. Thank goodness they made a friend who helps them find a way home. The illustrations perfectly convey the fluffiness of this kitty. It is simply lovely.

As always this was a well written beginning biography. I love that the series is branching out to names not well known by all such as Zaha Hadid a famous architect who passed away just a few years ago. As always I love the pictures in the back of the real person, and just wish that in this case, they had added a few real pictures of her buildings as well.
