Finished this one yesterday. It was a bit too dark for me. I read about half of it last year and had to put it down. Then I was able to skim some and finish yesterday. This book has sexual abuse and child abuse in it. Things I don‘t enjoy reading about. So it‘s a low pick for me, because the book wasn‘t bad, but not to my taste.

This book is getting a bit dark for me. So now I‘m at the point where I can only read it in bite size pieces.

Eh, this one had all the right elements, but the execution wasn‘t really there. I thought the reasoning behind everything was a bit unbelievable. Like are you really going to kill someone because of that? *Trying not to spoil anything*

I would probably give the author another try.

Wow 5/5 read for me! First time I‘m reading this author, and it won‘t be the last. The way she captures abuse, trauma, and the incredible depth of pain Joey experiences is heartbreaking and made this story really hard to put down. I just wanted to know what happened next! Thanks for picking this for #LitsyLoveWritesNBooks we‘ve had some great books so far!
