I definitely need to read more #SouthAsianWriters, because I wasn't familiar with any of the ones Google came up with. #AndItsAugust

I read this for #readaroundtheworld #thailand and it was excellent. There must be many other #southasianwriters in my shelves but this sprang to mind immediately. On my TBR is the Ibis trilogy by Amitav Ghosh. #Anditsaugust
Four of these books by #southasianwriters I've read and enjoyed. One is on my tbr list. If it has mango in the title, chances are I'll read it. Lol. #anditsaugust
I still need to read this book by an amazing #SouthAsianWriter. #SouthAsianWriters #AndItsAugust @RealLifeReading
Day 26 #AndItsAugust #SouthAsianWriters I have plenty of favorite South Asian Writers on my shelves. Here are three that I don't think have been mentioned yet: Amulya Malladi (The Mango Season, Serving Crazy With Curry, ... ), the amazing chef and author Madhur Jaffrey (World Vegetarian, her memoir Climbing the Mango Trees, ... ), and new author Amita Trasai (her debut novel The Color of Our Sky). Three talented female authors. 📚💜
#anditsaugust day 26: #southasianwriters
Sadly I have only a small collection of South Asian writers on my shelves. I don't even own any books by one of my favourite writers Tahmima Anam - shall have to see if Book Outlet has any!
(If you think this post was just an excuse to go browse the Book Outlet site, you, well, you may just be right)

Visiting #bookstores these days is a push-pull between all the books I want to buy and all the books I have that I've yet to read.
