Since it‘s #StGeorgesDay here‘s a book with dragons. All sorts here.. some are funny and mischievous, others are frightening. There‘re princesses to be rescued, and there‘re daring heroes and princes to challenge the dragons.

My favourite sonnet - I used to be able to recite it off by heart, but can't now. Time to relearn, I think!
#stgeorgesday is also Shakespeare's birthday so this counts as my #acrossapril post @Eggs
The image of St. George—atop his horse, lance plunged halfway into a dragon‘s body—is so familiar to us that we take for granted what a long history it has had in many countries. St. George is easily one of the most transported icons across cultures, and one of the most popular mythical figures of all time.

Day 23 - #StGeorgesDay #AcrossApril
Many Catalonian men present their female relatives with roses on St George's Day (Sant Jordi or Día de San Jorge) in Spain. The day is celebrated on April 23 each year. Lovers also swap gifts of books and roses on this day.
#AcrossApril Day 23: I didn‘t know about #StGeorgesDay but apparently quite a number of versions for this dragon story which I have only learned about just now. What I do know is that it‘s the Start of Ramadan on the 23rd as well. 💕🧚🏼♀️
