Love this play! I read it for a class in collage. And then a year or so after a local play company performed it!

The last #StagePlay I was slated to see before the shutdown was the Broadway debut of my colleague and friend, playwright Noah Haidle. I was so disappointed last March when things were put on hold, but luckily his play, Birthday Candles, WILL have its Broadway opening this spring! Audiences in NYC, don't miss it! #JulyJourneys

Day 26 - #Stageplay
This is the only stage play that I will always love ❤ (even if it's not 'real' because part of a wonderful movie)

I missed yesterday, my bestfriend's 4 year old spent the night, I'm exhausted!
Hope you had a great weekend!
#JulyJourneys Day 26: #StagePlay - the stage is set for daughter‘s send-off/Graduation day celebration party this afternoon with family and friends in my sister-in-law‘s place here in Antioch. Pool party!
This will complete my reading of three plays from August Wilson's Century Cycle. This one is set in a Pittsburgh boarding house; August, 1911. I love being able to relate a time frame to a family member's lifetime. My Dad was born just the month before. My maternal grandmother was age 19. Her firstborn, my Mother, didn't come along until four years later. The talk of the steel industry also hits home. #CenturyCycle #StagePlay
Having seen the movie trailer, my mind's eye saw Viola Davis' "Rose" throughout this read. Happy scenes, sad scenes -- Viola was who I saw. But my mind registered relatives and friends. This quote is a testament to how a woman loves her man. Brings Aretha's "Try a Little Tenderness" to mind.
?I may get weary.
Women do get weary
wearin' the same shabby dress.
But to one who's weary . . .
try a little . . . try a little tenderness.?
